| A
trek to Langtang valley starts with an overland journey
to Dunche, the main trading post of the area. Though
there are now many commercial lodges in Langtang village,
in another section you can observe the distinct life
style of the original inhabitants in Langtang village
that might be interesting for you I think. From Dhunche
we spend four days hiking up through this beautiful
alpine valley to Kyangjin where we rest for a day
for some exploration of the high mountains and glacial
systems. Here you can see the Tibetans and Tamangs,
who share a similar religion, language and clothing
style. Here, mountains rise soaring towards the sky.
We track back for three days before taking a different
route back to Dunche and onwards to Kathmandu. This
trek is ideal for people not wishing to trek over
the Laurebina pass 4610 meters. |
