Brif Info

Few people trek around the Kathmandu valley. This trek begins at Budhanilkantha, with the option end at Nagarkot or Dhulikhel. At Budhanilkantha, you have the chance to see the ancient statue of Lord Vishnu sleeping on a bed of snakes. Spectacular panoramic views of snow capped Himalayan peaks and a magnificent view of the sunset and sunrise, with the magical change of color that they produce on the mountains, will be seen from the slopes of Shivapuri, the second highest hill in the Kathmandu Valley. The valley rim lies between 1800 and 2800m and in spring offers early flowering rhododendrons.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1 :Arrive Kathmandu and meet with our representative at the airport. Drive to hotel.

Day 2 : Half day sightseeing and trekking permit arrangements. O/N at hotel.

Day 3 : Kathmandu – Shivapuri
Drive to Kakani (1982 mtr.), 29 Km. from north west of Kathmandu. It is a famous place for the magnificent views of the valleys and panorama of the Himalayas. Then start trek to Ale Danda along the ridge of the Shiva Puri National Park area. You will camp at Shivapuri (2732 mtr.) from where you will get outstanding views of the Himalayas.

Day 04 : Shivapuri – Dhap:
Trek along the Watershed forest and the panoramic attraction of the Himalayas and Camp at Dhap.

Day 5 : Dhap - Nagarkot
This day you will trek between the village and forest, then camp at Nagarkot - a vantage points for spectacular Sun Set on the Himalayan ranges.

Day 6 : Nagarkot – transfer back to Kathmandu
